I recently had the incredible opportunity to photograph an Edisto Beach family session for the Wests! This family was a lively bunch, full of energy and enthusiasm for our session. It was evident from the moment we met that this was going to be a session filled with laughter, love, and a whole lot of goofiness. We started our session with some classic, posed shots with the whole family. Being a big group, it took a bit of coordination, but they were rock stars in front of the camera. I could tell these guys were no strangers to having a good time together, and it definitely translated into the photos. It was a wonderful reminder that family is all about cherishing each other and having fun.
Next, as we wandered along the sandy shores, capturing candid shots along the way, I couldn’t help but admire the picturesque backdrop that Edisto Beach offered. The soft hues of the sky perfectly complemented the family’s outfits, adding an extra touch of magic to the images. I made sure to take advantage of the natural beauty, incorporating the dunes and grass into some of the shots. It’s amazing how the simplest elements can create truly memorable photographs. One of my favorite parts of this session was working with the little ones. They had two adorable little boys who had the cutest smiles and a knack for mischief. It’s sessions like these that really make me appreciate the magic of photography and the ability to freeze time. I know these images will serve as cherished memories for years to come.
Finally, I got to capture some engagement photos during this session for Emma and Matt! They’re getting married in September and wanted some photos to remember this time of their life together. It was so precious! I captured some shots of them walking along the ocean and holding hands. As the sun began to set, we wrapped up our session with a group shot and lots of thank-yous all around. It was such a pleasure to spend the afternoon with the West family, and I genuinely felt like I was part of their clan for those few hours. Overall, this Edisto Beach family session was amazing. And I’m so thankful for the opportunity to capture these memories for this family!
