Hello, seniors or families of seniors! If you’re just as excited as I am about your senior photos then you have come to the right place. I’m going to share some tips on how to prepare for your senior photos from getting ready to picking out the perfect pieces to have photographed from your senior year.
If you’re ready to see what you should do to prepare for your senior photos, be sure to scroll down below for more.
First things first, figure out what you might want to wear to your senior session. You can go on Pinterest for some outfit inspiration or go out shopping until you find some outfits! I would choose two different styles of outfits if that is what you’re doing as in maybe something more elegant and one more casual. Try them on and make sure they’re super comfortable to wear for your session! And, do not forget to wear comfortable shoes. You will more than likely be walking around a lot so please wear shoes you know are comfortable to walk in!
When planning to get your senior photos taken, be sure to set up all your hair, nail, and other appointments ahead of time. This can be a week or two weeks before your session date just in case something goes wrong. This will at least give you time to fix anything if needed or just so you’re not stressing and cramming all your appointments together.
Be sure to bring some things from your senior year so they can be photographed! This can be awards, jerseys, certificates, or anything that represents your senior year. Bring along your graduation cap and tassel for some fun photos too! This is a great way to have those little things from your senior year captured so that you then can look back on them one day! It’s also really good to bring in some more personality to your photos.

“My family had a great time during our photo shoot with Janice! She made everything so easy and comfortable! I hope once all of my family can be together again we can do another shoot with her! The pictures turned out amazingly! She is very professional but makes everyone feel at ease. Thank you so much for capturing our family so beautifully!”
