As a photographer, I love capturing outdoor family sessions and making memories. From the golden light of a setting sun to the open sky and nature that surrounds us, there is no better place to capture all of the joy of a loving family. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with an amazing family of four for their outdoor family session. Two teenage boys with a mom and dad ready to celebrate the oldest boy’s high school graduation!
As I set up my camera and adjusted my settings, I watched as the family got comfortable in the session. The natural dynamic between the parents and their teens was so awesome to see. Mom and Dad were beaming with pride at their kids, and the boys enjoyed lighthearted banter with each other. The brotherly teasing was pretty funny to watch and quite entertaining! I started to take photos of the family, getting fun shots of the brothers, and then them with their parents. I took some to focus on the eldest as he is graduating and wanted some senior pictures. It was an awesome session getting to incorporate some family shots mixed in with senior portraits.
Overall, it was a wonderful outdoor family session with some really sweet moments. We ended the session with a portrait of the entire family, the graduate and his brother just a bit taller than mom… but not. quite taller than Dad yet! It was a great end to a fantastic family session and the perfect way to commemorate the day and the joy of a family together. I’m so lucky to be able to document these special moments of life.
