Chris and Emily came to me asking to photograph their summer engagement session in Charleston. My favorite time of year in South Carolina. Not only is the weather perfect, but it’s also the season of engagements, weddings, and senior sessions. For their session, we decided to stroll through a secluded park filled with trees and open fields of grass. Emily looked stunning in a gorgeous white dress that struck the perfect balance between comfy and cute. While Chris wore an olive green button-up that complemented Emily’s outfit flawlessly.
As we began their session in the open grassy area, the sun peeked through the trees, casting just the right amount of sunlight on them. Walking hand-in-hand through the field, I prompted them to share stories or rediscover their love for each other. Emily and Chris made my job too easy. They were naturals at giving me the most candid, authentic, and genuine moments that truly showcased their love for each other.
Photographing engagement sessions is always special because it allows me to witness and capture genuine love between two people.
